Dock Handler Peoplelink Staffing is seeking reliable and hardworking Dock Handlers to support dock and facility operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, shipments, and equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe dock environment for team members, drivers, contractors, and customers. Job DetailsSchedule: Monday-Friday10-hour shifts1st Shift 6:00AM-2:30PM2nd Shift 3:30 PM - 12:00 AMLocation: 100 N Rivian Motorway, Normal, IL 61761 Dock Handler Job SummarySupport daily dock and staging operationsSafely load, unload, move, and stage materials and shipmentsOperate equipment as needed including forklifts, tuggers, compactors, and balersMaintain organization, cleanliness, and workflow throughout dock areasWork in warehouse and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and noise levelsFollow all company, client, safety, and security procedures Essential FunctionsCommunicate professionally with teammates, supervisors, drivers, vendors, and other personnelPerform assigned tasks in dock and staging areas based on operational needsAssist with the safe movement and organization of materials, shipments, and equipmentHelp maintain efficient workflow to support daily operationsFollow all ABM and client safety, security, and compliance standardsReport task updates, concerns, operational issues, or safety hazards to supervisors promptlyMaintain awareness of site security procedures and restricted access areasEscalate issues such as overflow, contamination, damaged materials, or equipment failureMeet productivity, attendance, quality, and safety expectationsParticipate in maintaining a safety-first culture and follow all incident reporting proceduresBe available to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed Dock Handler ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively with team members to complete assigned duties safely and efficientlySupport inbound and outbound deliveries and shipment preparationLoad, unload, sort, move, and stage materials to designated locationsEnsure materials are accurately labeled, organized, and handled properlyOperate equipment safely when required, including forklifts, tuggers, compactors, and balersKeep dock, staging, and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazardsProperly handle trailers, pallets, carts, and other materials as directedMonitor and report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, contamination, or operational concernsFollow dock security procedures and maintain awareness of access points and restricted areasCome prepared with proper PPE and weather-appropriate attireAttend required meetings and training sessionsMaintain professional working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, drivers, and vendorsDemonstrate company core values and professional workplace behaviorsPerform miscellaneous duties and additional tasks as assigned QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderValid driver's license requiredPrevious warehouse, dock, or material handling experience preferredAbility to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededStrong communication, teamwork, and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and safely in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in varying weather conditions, temperatures, and warehouse environmentsAbility to meet productivity and attendance expectations while maintaining safety and quality standards Why Peoplelink Staffing?Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance available401(k) available after meeting eligibility requirementsDirect Deposit programs Peoplelink Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
