Experienced Legal AssistantLocation: Chicago, ILPosition Type: Full-Time Hybrid (2 days hybrid a week/excluding Mondays.)Lindsay, Pickett & Postel, LLC is seeking an Experienced Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and ensure smooth and efficient litigation workflows. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy and dynamic legal environment. This position will support multiple attorneys across various practice areas.Learn more about us at: https://www.lpplawfirm.comKey Responsibilities:Provide daily administrative and clerical support to assigned attorneysPrepare, proofread, and finalize detailed correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents (subpoenas, motions, etc.)Filing of Complaints for Declaratory Judgment for coverage matters along with issuing Summons and tracking of sameManage attorney(s) calendar and calendar deadlinesSchedule and coordinate meetings , court appearances and depositionsHandle e-filing in multi-state and federal courtsMaintain case files and case management systemsCommunicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and other external partiesReceive and docket incoming materials; monitor deadlines and ensure timely task completionKnowledge of court rules and filing proceduresAssist with trial preparation, as neededPost time entries daily in the firm’s billing systemPerform additional duties as needed to support litigation mattersQualifications:3–5+ years of legal experience preferred, ideally in insurance defense and/or coverageProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal case management softwareStrong experience with e-filing procedures in various state and federal court systemsFamiliarity with appellate processes and proceduresExceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProfessional demeanor and discretion in handling confidential informationWhy Join the LPP Team?Competitive salary starting at $55,000.00, commensurate with experience401(k) plan with company contribution after one (1) year of full-time employmentFlexible Time Off (FTO) and paid holidaysMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCompany-paid Life InsuranceTo Apply:Please email your cover letter and resume to Shari Lovelle at .
