SBC Teller
Perform a variety of routine teller duties to include processing transactions, identifying basic potential financial needs and, based on that identification, making referrals to the platform area as appropriate.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFollowing established policies and procedures, performs routine teller duties:Process deposits to customer accounts; includes verification of cash, verification of endorsements, and providing customers with receiptsCash checks for customers and non-customersProcess and properly record the sale of monetary instruments (i.e. official bank checks)Properly file all government-mandated reports related to large cash transactions and the sale of all monetary instrumentsActively engages in the sales process by identifying potential financial needs for customers and non-customers alike and makes appropriate referrals of such leads to the platform staff for follow-up.Basic administrative functionsPrepare and process cash orders as directedJob RequirementsAbility to work a flexible schedule based on the hours of operation of the Bank, including SaturdayAbility to lift 50 poundsBasic knowledge of keyboard and computer skillsAbility to perform basic arithmetic operations with the use of a calculatorMust have basic business acumen and professionalismAbility to build strong relationships and alliances across the organization, exceed customer expectations, ability to adapt to change, reliable and highly motivatedMust have reliable transportationMust be flexible and able to adapt to new job locations and re-assignments as directedFluent in written and verbal EnglishAbility to adhere to Needham Bank’s Core Values ( Focus on Customer Relationship, Embrace Change, Work as a Team, Be an Asset to Your Community, Always Learn, and Do the Right Thing )Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDUp to one year of teller or cash handling experience with accurate balancing recordCustomer service experience and/or sales experience preferredWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSNormal business office environmentNeedham Bank offers a competitive salary and an amazing benefit package for a full-time employee which includes fully paid medical and dental insurance, HRA, 401(k) plan with an 8% bank match, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, a bonus program, flexible spending accounts, vision service plan, group term life insurance, short and long term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and an Employee Assistance Program.
