Industrial EngineerLocation: Nappanee, INIndustry: Automotive / RV / Motorcoach ManufacturingSeeking a hands-on Industrial Engineer with experience in automotive, RV, or motorcoach manufacturing environments to support production efficiency, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing facility.This role focuses on line balancing, labor optimization, plant layout improvements, and Lean implementation across fabrication and assembly operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze manufacturing workflows and implement improvements to increase throughput, efficiency, and productivityPerform time studies, labor analysis, and line balancing across assembly operationsDevelop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentationSupport plant layout optimization and material flow improvementsDrive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, and waste reductionImprove OEE performance and production efficiency metricsPartner with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve bottlenecksSupport new product launches and process readiness activitiesAssist with capacity planning and manpower utilization strategiesParticipate in continuous improvement projects impacting safety, quality, delivery, and costRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (required)2–6 years of Industrial Engineering experience in:Automotive manufacturingRV manufacturingMotorcoach / heavy vehicle manufacturingOR similar high-volume assembly environmentsExperience performing time studies and line balancingWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principlesExperience improving plant layouts and material flowStrong data analysis and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with OEE improvement initiativesExposure to welding, fabrication, stamping, or vehicle assembly operationsKnowledge of standard work developmentExperience supporting new product launchesSix Sigma certification (Green Belt preferred)ERP/MES system exposureWhy This Role Stands OutWork directly on vehicle assembly process improvementsHigh visibility role supporting operations leadershipOpportunity to influence factory efficiency and production strategyCollaborative manufacturing engineering environmentStrong growth opportunity within operations engineering
