Supplier Quality Engineer

Role descriptionJob Title:  Supplier Quality EngineerLocation: Middletown, CT Position Summary:The Senior Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality aerospace components and systems, supporting both production and development programs. This individual will lead quality improvement initiatives, drive root cause and corrective action efforts, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards, customer requirements, and internal quality systems. Key Responsibilities:Lead quality assurance activities for assigned product lines or programs, ensuring compliance with AS9100, FAA, DoD, and customer requirements.Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.Manage and resolve non-conformances using root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (RC/CA & CAPA).Represent Quality in cross-functional teams, design reviews, and customer or regulatory audits.Analyze data to identify trends, process variations, and opportunities for improvement using Six Sigma or similar methodologies.Support supplier quality initiatives and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and quality inspectors.Participate in internal and external audits; ensure audit readiness and compliance.Maintain documentation and records in accordance with P&W quality management systems. Key Must Have’s:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial or related field).5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality engineering role, preferably in aerospace or a highly regulated industry.Deep understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA Part 21/145, and industry standards.Experience with quality tools such as PFMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, 8D, DMAIC, etc.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; experience with RCCA methods (5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.).Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality data systems (e.g., SAP, Solumina, or equivalent).U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts. Preferred Qualifications:Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar credential.Knowledge of special processes (e.g., coatings, heat treat, NDT) and aerospace materials.Experience working with OEMs or government customers (e.g., DoD, FAA).Familiarity with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and digital manufacturing tools.   Equal Opportunity Statement:Tata Technologies Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action employer.
