Job Description Description:POSITION SUMMARYUnder direct supervision of the Cage Supervisor, operates and performs cash and currency transactions for Casino customers at a service window.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIESThe list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive.Safeguards casino assets.Counts and verifies all cash/coin/chip/token and coupon transactions in the cage.Makes change for customers and exchange coin/chip/tokens for cash.Performs fills and jackpots to electronic gaming devices.Complies with federal cash reporting requirements.Maintains accurate cage cash transmittal forms.Troubleshoots coin and currency counting equipment problems.Performs all duties, responsibilities, and requirements such as coin redemption, vault/cage exchanges, and payouts.Complies with internal controls/policies and procedures as they pertain to this position.Maintains confidentiality of all Casino operation data.Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this position are subject to change as needed.Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.Performs other duties as required.KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONSKnowledge and proficient in intermediate mathematics.Ability to become familiar with all cage functions.Skill in cashier's cage operations and of applicable laws on cage operations.Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.Skill in problem solving and sound decision-making.Skill in typing and 10-key operation.Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and presentation software (such as PowerPoint).Knowledge of Title 31 and Training.WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is generally performed in the Casino cage area with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED plus one year experience as a cashier or bank teller; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be 21 years of age. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation. Must possess a valid Arizona State Driver's License.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
