Our mission is to remove the physical, financial, and emotional barriers that prevent families from maintaining meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones, accessing mental health care, or navigating reentry.Founded in 2025, the LoopRoots Foundation operates nationally, with an initial focus on underserved communities in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, California, and Virginia.Our key initiatives includeLoopConnect A ride credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.LoopTalk A HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma-informed mental health care to justice-impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.LoopTroop Rideshare Partnership We collaborate with the LoopTroop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.The LoopRoots Foundation is committed to using community-based, technology-enabled tools to restore dignity, promote healing, and reduce generational harm. All of our programs are offered without discrimination to build a truly supportive ecosystem for families across the U.S.,Role OverviewThe Volunteer Human Resources Manager plays a key role in supporting the organization’s people operations by overseeing onboarding, compliance, and day-to-day HR functions. This individual ensures that volunteers and staff have a positive, organized, and compliant experience while contributing to the nonprofit’s mission. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.QualificationsExperience in Human Resources, administration, or a related field (professional or volunteer)Basic knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and compliance practicesStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication abilitiesAbility to handle confidential information with integritySelf-motivated and able to work independently in a remote or volunteer settingPassion for nonprofit work and supporting mission-driven teamsResponsibilitiesManage the onboarding process for new volunteers and staff, including documentation and orientationMaintain and organize personnel records in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policiesEnsure HR practices align with legal and ethical standardsServe as a point of contact for HR-related questions and concernsAssist with developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and volunteer handbooksSupport recruitment efforts, including posting roles and coordinating interviewsMonitor volunteer engagement and help address retention and satisfaction needsHandle basic conflict resolution and escalate issues when appropriateCollaborate with leadership to support organizational growth and cultureAbout LoopRoots FoundationLoopRoots Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on reentry support for individuals and families impacted by incarceration.
