Senior Controller
SUMMARY
As part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Americas (MHIA), ABP Induction LLC is a leading manufacturer of induction furnaces and heaters for foundries and forges. The Senior Controller is responsible for providing management within the finance department overseeing the complete financial controlling of the company. Also, this position includes some ABP Financial Group responsibilities. The Senior Controller disciplinary reports to the Vice President USMCA and the CFO of the ABP Group. Functionally the Senior Controller reports to the VP Corporate Planning and Controlling providing management support to the ABP US and ABP MX operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Direct and coordinate activities with the accounting department using standard accounting principles.
· Direct and coordinate activities with IT related functions.
· Prepare budget and financial forecast/projections, including revenue and order intake by category and monthly analysis, coordination of departmental expenses and analysis of cost of sales and absorption per month.
· Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of all required monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting packages.
· Compare performance with operating plans. Provides reports and interprets the results of operation to management. This includes the formulation of accounting policies, the preparation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures and special reports as required.
· Manage ERP/Navision upgrade.
· Implementation of Power BI based Strategic Cockpit.
· Manage insurance policies. Local and group level. Analysis of insurance estimates and audits of actual amounts
· Monitor credit and collection applications. Approve terms over a predetermined dollar amount.
· Prepares for audits of Company’s accounts.
· Responsible for evaluating the performance of direct reports in accounting and IT, recommending additional training to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet Company needs and objectives.
· Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
· Ensure smooth operations and processes including payroll, contracts, training, and compensation.
· Acts as central point of contact for external partners and stakeholders like unions, law-firms, recruiting partners etc.
· Disciplinary lead the US based Group IT function. Functionally lead of US based IT function from Group IT located in Germany.

Education and/or Related Experience
Requires education of a minimum equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or related area is required for this position.
Minimum Five (5) years of experience in related controlling responsibilities or a combination of education and experience is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is favorable, very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must. Very good interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary.
Analytical and language Skills
Ability to understand ERP and detailed controlling processes. Must communicate effectively with employees and have the capacity to explain financial reports in a simple straightforward way to all different hierarchical levels. Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales orders and product manuals. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, auditors and other employees of the organization. Should be comfortable in making customer and financial presentations. Must be fluent in English but also being fluent in Spanish is a plus.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Capacity to analyze data to identify trends.
Reasoning Ability
Must be able to absorb large amounts of information in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct supervision of Financial Accountant and IT functionalities are required.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
