PSR THERAPIST
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PSR Therapist to join our mental health services team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience with crisis management, behavioral therapy, and working within a multidisciplinary team is essential to support our clients' mental health and well-being.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing diagnostic tools such as ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical terminology to establish treatment needs.
Provide individual, group, and family counseling using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral therapy.
Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage behavioral issues related to mental health disorders including PTSD, addiction, grief, and developmental disabilities.
Deliver specialized services such as child & family counseling, special education support, autism spectrum disorder interventions, Geriatrics care, and working with individuals with disabilities.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, intake procedures, research initiatives, and clinical documentation.
Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services.
Engage in ongoing professional development through research activities and training in areas like social work, psychopharmacology, ICD coding/diagnosis, and behavior management techniques.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling Psychology or related field.
Valid licensure or certification as required by state regulations (e.g., LCSW, LPC).
Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Strong background in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and behavioral health treatment planning.
Experience working with children & families, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics or special education populations preferred.
Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems along with proficiency in medical terminology and documentation standards like HIPAA compliance.
Telehealth experience is highly desirable.
