Overview:ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Manager 1 will manage small to medium capital projects supporting refueling, forced outages, and online maintenance, leading teams and overseeing project execution from planning through completion. This role ensures work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards while managing budgets, contracts, and stakeholder coordination. The position requires strong project management expertise, including scheduling, cost control, and process improvement. Qualified candidates bring experience in complex outage or online work environments within commercial nuclear power plants. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.Pay rate: $47.79 - $82.75Benefits:Sick Leave: One hour of paid sick leave for every 40-hours worked (sick leave can be used after 90-days of employment)EAP: Employee Assistance ProgramBenefit Options: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, Group Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Critical Illness, Voluntary Accident, Hospital Indemnity, 401k (eligible after one year and 1,000 hours worked - employer match up to 4%)Other benefits include the following: Calm App, LifeBalance Discount ProgramResponsibilities:Manage small to medium capital projects supporting refueling outages, forced outages, and online maintenancePlan, schedule, and control project activities with minimal oversightLead and direct project teams of 5–10 personnelEstablish priorities and maintain visibility across all project phasesOversee project execution including budgets, work packages, procurement, and resource loadingEnsure work is completed safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budgetIdentify and resolve schedule delays, conflicts, and execution issuesDevelop and track project budgets and cost performanceCoordinate with project controls, finance, engineers, vendors, and managementDevelop and manage contracts and vendor relationshipsCommunicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and senior leadershipMonitor project management processes and recommend improvementsMaintain knowledge of industry trends and new technologiesDevelop long-range project strategies and plansSupport outage activities, including OCCSupport corrective action and self-assessment program implementationRequirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field and 14 years of technical experience;OR AA/AS degree and 16 years;OR high school diploma/GED and 18 years; advanced degree may substitute for 2 yearsPMP or project management certification requiredCommercial nuclear power plant experienceExperience managing complex projects, outage activities, or online work managementExperience supporting refueling outages and forced outagesProficiency in all aspects of project managementApply error reduction and human performance improvement methodsApply cost-effective work execution methodologiesManage project budgets, forecasting, and cost controlsDevelop and execute project schedules and resource plansLead cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple stakeholdersSupport nuclear and industrial safety and ALARA planningAnalyze project performance and implement process improvementsCommunicate effectively with technical teams and senior leadershipWork sponsorship is not available at this time.
