Position Purpose Junior Applications Engineer should have a working knowledge and familiarity with concepts of process design, specification review, and project execution related to custom engineered systems. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks · Prepares supplier requisitions based on customer specifications · Read customer specifications related to process, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation · Work under the direction of Applications Manager · Ensures bid package is prepared to meet customer's requirements in a technically efficient and commercially viable manner. · Works closely with Project Engineers & Project Managers to ensure a seamless handover of sales orders. · Attend Kick-off and design review meetings with project team. · Assists Applications Manager with preparation of proposals and evaluation of equipment performance to assure the best application is met per customer specifications. · Obtains and evaluates vendor quotations covering vendor inquiries and preparing lowest evaluated vendor costs. · Be able to generate P&ID’s, Instrument and Valve datasheets. · Evaluates new suppliers and qualifies new technical products to improve costs and efficiency.
