Digital Developer / Designer - Email & Marketing TechnologyAgency / Pharmaceutical Marketing | Freelance, RemoteOur agency client is seeking an experienced Digital Developer / Designer to support healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing initiatives. This is an ongoing, remote freelance role (40 hours/week), with the opportunity to transition into a full-time permanent position.This role is developer first and ideal for someone whose core strength is HTML based digital and email development in regulated environments, with the ability to handle design and email layout work as needed.About the RoleThe Digital Developer / Designer will focus on building, coding, testing, and maintaining email templates and digital marketing assets across CRM and CMS platforms commonly used in pharmaceutical marketing. You'll work closely with designers, copy editors, account teams, and technical QC partners while supporting MLR driven workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain HTML based email templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring responsiveness and cross client compatibility.Develop and deploy modular email components within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.Translate design files into clean, compliant, production ready code with high attention to detail.Support digital asset development and updates within Veeva and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).Perform QA on emails and digital assets, including rendering tests, link validation, and functionality checks.Maintain and improve reusable code libraries and modular components.Collaborate with designers and copy teams to resolve layout, styling, and content issues.Ensure all assets meet regulatory, accessibility, and technical standards in a highly regulated healthcare/pharma environment.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive timelines.Required Skills & QualificationsPrior agency experience supporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated accounts.Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExperience and familiarity with MJML is a bonus.Experience working within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.Working knowledge of Veeva and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).Ability to handle design or email layout work, including visual edits.Familiarity with Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite for reviewing and interpreting design files.Experience supporting animated or interactive email elements.Solid understanding of email client limitations, responsive layouts, and accessibility standards.Experience working within MLR and compliance review processes.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow strict technical and regulatory requirements.
