Their services include Business, Individual, State & Local tax, R&D Tax Credit, as well as International and Private Client services.This Tax Senior Manager role will be based out of one of our Los Angeles, CA, Orange County, CA, San Francisco, CA, San Ramon, CA, San Diego, CA, New York, NY, or Whippany, NJ offices. You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of tax engagements, from planning to completion, to include supervision/mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with clients. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.How You'll Spend Your TimeLeading the review of complex high-net-worth individual, fiduciary, gift and estate and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic planningConducting advanced tax research and drafting technical memoranda addressing complex issuesDesigning and implementing tax planning strategies that optimize wealth preservation, charitable giving, and succession planning for founders and tech executivesServing as a trusted advisor, managing client relationships through proactive communication, strategic consultations, and responsive serviceMentoring and supervising staff, fostering technical development, accountability, and a collaborative team cultureCollaborating with partners and senior leadership on client engagements, thought leadership, and business development initiativesEnsuring compliance with evolving federal, state, and local tax regulations, staying ahead of legislative changes and industry trendsContributing to process improvement, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracyEngaging in firm-wide initiatives, including innovation projects, marketing efforts, and continuing education programs that support Withum’s dynamic and inclusive cultureThe Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited institutionCPA, JD, LLM or MST requiredMinimum of 8+ years of professional services experience requiredIndustry knowledge within the Technology/Startup and Emerging Growth sector a plusDemonstrated strategic leadership. Defining market opportunities, creating a strategic plan, process and deployment capabilitiesDemonstrated process creation.
