Process Technician - 2nd Shift
Mission
Maintain equipment and processes in compliance with customer and Plastic Omnium
requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Start up and shut down of blow molding machine.
Maintain blow mold machine
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Material Handling System functions
Troubleshoot process problems and provide documentation of actions performed
Perform preventative maintenance
Material handling PMs + responsibility
Additional Responsibilities
Special projects as assigned including:
o Optimize processes
o Implement continuous improvement solutions to reduce scrap, improve efficiency
o Manage down time events
o Perform daily 5s tasks
Lockout Tagoout
Full understanding of the LOTO concepts, and its application
Method, devices, and instructions used to lockout/tagout machinery
Choice of appropriate level of LOTO (when we have to apply complete LOTO, or partial LOTO
or “door locked” only)
Able to perform risk analysis before LOTO and work performed inside machines
Ability to train and coach other technicians on LOTO and safe work practices
Responsible to advise when standard work instructions are not covering a necessary specific
activity
Responsible to check the correct application of LOTO, in line with procedures
Seek guidance from EHS Specialist for any concerns regarding LOTO
Other Requirements
Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping,
crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times
Personal Background
High school diploma or GED required
2 year Associate’s degree or applied trade apprenticeship preferred
Job Technical skills
o Working knowledge of blow mold machines and processes
o Technical knowledge and skills consistent with basic maintenance functions
o Technical knowledge on: electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics, with the ability to recognize and
manage hazardous energy sources machine by machine
Job Soft skills
o Demonstrate communication skills in a team environment
o Self-motivated and able to work effectively alone or with very little supervision
o Capability of handling and managing multiple priorities
o Intermediate skill with personal computers and Microsoft Office programs

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
