Working on site at the facility is required.In this Role, you will be responsible for :Project WorkManage & implement productivity improvement projects of all sizesOptimize process flow and improve areas of constraint with layout changes, tooling, equipment, or other solutionsEffectively prioritize work and prepare periodic status reports for projects and activities; delivers professional report to senior leadership Successfully work with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into sustainable and effective manufacturing processes including review and recommendations for design change, tooling, and equipmentSuccessfully work with cross-functional team to offload any processes and/or products to suppliers in a timely manner and with minimal disruption to the businessEvaluate and justify purchase of new capital equipment based on cost-benefit analysis; delivers formalized Capex required documentation to leadershipQualify, document, and implement new process equipment and services in a timely manner and with minimal disruption to the business Daily WorkCreate and manage manufacturing BOMs, routers and work instructions for product manufacturing and testCreate, document, and conduct training and certifications for fixture/equipment operation and critical methodsTrack and analyze first-pass-yield and failures; plan and implement corrective actions to address the issuesWork with suppliers and SQE to resolve manufacturability issues in the supply chainParticipate on the Material Review Board, assess and disposition non-conformances, conduct failure analysis, root cause analysis, and provide corrective actionUp to 20% travel may be required Technical SkillsLean/Six SigmaTooling designStatistical analysisSolidworks, CREO, Catia, CAD or other 3D modeling softwareMicrosoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, ExcelWorking proficiency with DFMEA and PFMEA methodology and implementationAbility to use Design of Experiments methods to support process improvementAbility to perform Gage R & R Analysis for equipment qualificationsExperience developing and implementing automation highly desiredExperience with metal machining, fabrication and finishing methods and equipment (structures and electronics side)Experience with PCBAs, soldering, electronics component testing and custom test equipment (electronics side) What you'll Need to Succeed:B.S. relevant engineering degree from an accredited institution7+ years of experience in the aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industry7+ years of experience in manufacturing organizationExperience with APQP and IPCA+Leading small or medium sized projects and/or programsDemonstrated track record of effectively influencing without authority with all levels of an organization and leading effective/successful change initiatives Knowledge and experience in a professional business environmentBetter than average written and spoken communication skillsOutstanding interpersonal relationship skillsStrong focus and attention to detailTime management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex business environmentExcellent problem solving and decision-making skillsStrong focus on customer serviceAbility to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization by DOH The target wage/salary range for this role may be within $90k - $130k, depending on education and experience.
