Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.The Communications Coordinator supports OSU-OKC's strategic marketing and communications efforts through compelling storytelling, content creation and enrollment communications. This position plays a key role in communicating OSU-OKC's mission and commitment to students, supporting recruitment and retention efforts and enhancing the institution's reputation through high-quality content across multiple platforms. The coordinator collaborates closely with academic divisions, student affairs, enrollment management and other campus partners to tell authentic stories that showcase OSU-OKC's impact on students and Oklahoma's high-tech workforce development.Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, English or a related field.Three years of professional communications, journalism, public relations or marketing experience with demonstrated writing and storytelling abilities.Exceptional writing and editing skills with demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiencesProficiency in AP style and adaptable writing style for various platforms and purposesStrong storytelling abilities with experience developing human-interest stories, profiles and feature contentUnderstanding of enrollment marketing and student recruitment communicationsExperience with content management systems and digital publishing toolsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with students, faculty, staff and community partnersSelf-directed with creative problem-solving abilitiesCommitment to accuracy, attention to detail and brand consistencyPassion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.Master's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, English or a related field.Experience in higher education marketing or communications Knowledge of enrollment marketing best practices and student recruitment cycles Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Familiarity with technical and career-focused education programsContent Creation & StorytellingWrite compelling stories that showcase OSU-OKC students, faculty, programs and community impactDevelop feature stories, news articles, profiles and human-interest content for website, publications and digital channelsCreate content that highlights OSU-OKC's mission, values and commitment to student successEnsure all content aligns with OSU-OKC and OSU brand standards and voiceEnrollment & Recruitment CommunicationsSupport enrollment marketing efforts through strategic storytelling about academic programs, student outcomes and campus lifeWrite and direct recruitment materials, including print and email content, program descriptions, student testimonials, advertising, website content and promotional materialsCollaborate with system Enrollment Communications and Admissions teams to develop content that resonates with prospective students and familiesCreate content highlighting OSU Applied Workforce Programs and career pathways in high-tech fieldsCommunications Support & Project CoordinationAssist the Director with implementation of marketing, communications and media relations strategiesCoordinate content calendars and manage workflow for various communications projectsSupport internal communications efforts for faculty, staff and current studentsMaintain content accuracy and timeliness across platformsTrack and report on content performance and engagement metricsProvide communications support for campus events and initiativesCollaboration & Relationship BuildingBuild and maintain relationships with academic divisions, student services and other campus departmentsPartner with Marketing and Communications team on integrated campaignsRepresent OSU-OKC professionally in campus and community settingsCompletes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of two professional development sessions each year.The duties listed in this job description are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
