Operations & Communications Coordinator

Position Description: Operations & Communications Coordinator Status: Full-Time Salary Based on experience. 401K match, insurance stipend, and cell phone stipend.  Summary: Lee County Economic Development Group is looking for our next team member. The Operations & Communications specialist plays a vital role in the organization, supporting the team and sharing the message and impact of our work with stakeholders. Administrative Responsibilities:·       Monitor the schedules of the team and schedule meetings as needed. ·       Support the President & CEO with administrative tasks and special projects.·       Support the LCEDG Staff and Board ·       Maintain the office facilities' professional appearance and functionality, ordering office supplies and equipment as needed. ·       Manage facility use and rental schedules. Coordinating conference room facilities and equipment as needed. ·       Monitor facility and equipment needs, including infrastructure, technology, and furniture. ·       Monitor, review, and update facility maintenance contracts. ·       Record and process minutes for all board meetings and executive committee meetings.  Marketing Support: ·       Manage communications strategies including marketing campaigns and public relations efforts. ·       Assist in developing and promoting LCEDG’s brand and enhancing its recognition as a key resource in the region.·       Create newsletters, social media content, press releases, and manage LCEDG website. Required Experience and Abilities: ·       Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, is essential. The ideal candidate should be comfortable navigating and troubleshooting computer systems and have a strong understanding of technological trends. ·       Strong communication and relationship-building skills. ·       Adaptability to changing circumstances and ability to handle stressful situations positively. ·       Eagerness to continually learn and work towards continuous organizational improvement. ·       Detailed-orientated and resourceful. ·       Comfortable in a forward-facing role, often serving as the first point of contact for LCEDG. ·        2-year college degree/certificate in office/business administration and 2+ years of office administration experience in a professional setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.  Preferred candidates will have: ·       Experience working with boards of directors, including minute-taking and logistics management. ·       Website management and maintenance capabilities. ·       Experience with QuickBooks. ·       Experience working with brand guidelines. ·       Experience with social media marketing/content creation. ·       Experience compiling professional newsletters, media releases, and other external communications.
