Starter Generator Technician

PAG supports operators in the Airline, Business and General Aviation (BGA), Military and Rotary Wing markets through its Inventory Supported Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (ISMRO®) business model.Job PurposeTo perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft Starter/Generator assemblies in accordance with FAA Part 145 regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards. This role ensures all components meet airworthiness requirements, supports safe and reliable aircraft operations, and contributes to the repair station’s compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions include:Inspection and EvaluationPerform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of aircraft Starter and Generators and related components.Identify wear, corrosion, cracks or other defects using approved inspection methods and toolsMaintenance & RepairDisassemble, clean, and repair starter generator assemblies in accordance with manufacturer manuals and FAA regulation.Replace defective parts, seals, and hardware using approved parts, materials and methods.Balance and reassemble components to meet operational specifications.Overhaul & TestingConduct complete overhauls of starter generator units, including bead seating, bearing replacement, and torque checks.Perform functional testing to verify serviceability.Documentation & ComplianceAccurately complete maintenance records, work orders and FAA required documentation.Ensure all work complies with Part 145 Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM) requirements.Tooling & Equipment CareMaintain calibration and cleanliness of tools, test stands, and work areas.Report and tag unserviceable tools and equipment.Safety & Quality AssuranceFollow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling procedures.Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.Teamwork & CommunicationCoordinate with inspectors, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure workflow efficiency.Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly.Work Location: 495 Lake Mirror Road, Atlanta, GA 30349Education/Training: Technical or Aviation Trade School graduate preferred, any experience in repairing components acceptable.Experience: One year of aviation-related training or work experience preferred.We offer competitive pay and a wide variety of benefits.
