Provide direction and technical assistance to hourly employees. Manage crew safety, quality, cost and schedule performance as well as promoting and implementing process improvements. Ensure employees have adequate training to perform their job assignments and ensure all procedures/documents are adhered to.ResponsibilitiesOversee D237 Temporary Electrical, ECC, Preheat, and Tool Crib employeesSupply the team with required equipment, tools, parts and materials to maintain a smooth workflowInterface on the deck plate with the customer, operations management, ships management and engineering groupsHave a general understanding of the electrical infrastructure and layout of the shipyard and processes in the tool cribsQualificationsRequired:High School Diploma or GED3+ years operations trade or military experience in welding trade, electrical, mechanical, pipefitting, shipfitting, sheetmetal, ship's management or trades supervisionMust be available to work all shifts, including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictateMust be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defensePreferred:2+ years of supervisor experienceExperience managing budgetsVocational/College/Technical school or apprenticeship graduateATA or other time keeping tracking experienceM Class, Journeyman CT or Master trade licenseExperience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six SigmaPrior additional experience in nuclear submarine manufacturing or defense-related industriesSkillsA general understanding of electrical theoryA general understanding of the welding processes used at EBA general understanding of the requirements for Temporary Ventilation at EBStrong communications skillsPossess strong PC skillsPhysical QualificationsClimbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Heavy Lifting, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, TwistingEnvironmental AttributesAcids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, WetJ-18808-Ljbffr
