More personal attention. More opportunities.Role DescriptionWe are seeking an Audit Senior to join our Client Services team. In this position you will be responsible for performing fieldwork on audit and review engagements, providing exceptional support for our clients, with minimum supervision.You will assist with the development, training, and supervision of Staff Accountants and Interns, and work with the Management Team to develop your skills and grow within the firm. Using prior experience, training, and education, the ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication and work closely with clients and other Gray, Gray & Gray team members to provide business consulting and compliance support.ResponsibilitiesOversee multiple client engagements; planning, executing, directing, and completing engagements in a wide variety of industries; and managing to budget with management supportManage day-to-day responsibilities of engagements to ensure high-quality services are deliveredPrepare or review financial statements, notes, schedules, and management lettersDirect and perform research and support for projects with limited supervisionAssist manager in preparing budgets and commit to those budget and timelines adopted by the teamDevelop and maintain excellent client relationships through superior customer service. Serve as a client contact on related matters Recognize and resolve or elevate potential or existing problems with appropriate research and consulting, as necessary Consulting, working with, and servicing client base to make recommendations on business and process improvements. Serve as a business advisor to clients Assist in the development and execution of department’s various training programsSet and monitor staff scheduling and workloadsEncourage the continuous technical and soft-skill development of staff by providing timely feedback on engagementsParticipate in recruitment eventsKey Success FactorsAbility to motivate, develop, train and engage staff and intern level team members Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to review, evaluate and provide feedback of the work of others Detail oriented and improvement focusedFlexibility to change direction frequentlyActions support the “Culture of Helpfulness” and “Continuous Improvement” Core ValuesParticipate in the firm’s training programs, recruiting functions, and marketing activitiesAbility to adjust schedule based on peak workload times in the departmentRequired ExperienceTech-savvy: Strong Excel and MS Suite skills; able to quickly learn new software programsCPA or CPA track with 3+ years of progressive CPA firm experienceBS in Accounting, MSA or MBA preferred
