Billing Specialist

Location: San Antonio, Texas Position Type: Part-time, Hourly Purpose:Strata seeks a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage billing activities, liaise with customers and project managers, support time and job ticket reconciliation, and handle customer invoicing and month-end accruals. This role also involves resolving invoicing issues and performing additional tasks as needed. Essential Duties include the following: Performs billing activities for specific customers Liaison with Customer and Project Manager Supports Time Ticket/Job Ticket Reconciliation Job number supporting information with job tickets and supplier invoices Receives job ticket approval for customer billing process Creates customer invoices and inputs into an open invoice system Assists with month-end accruals Resolves invoicing issues on receivables Other duties as assigned 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry An Associates Degree in accounting or a related field is required Bachelors Degree preferred. Accounts Payable and Receivable experience preferred. Must know accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements. Above-average math skills are required Must professionally communicate with managers, employees, and vendors in both oral and written formats. Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Physical Requirements: Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Performance of the job may require sitting, handling items and working with fingers to type, complete paperwork, and handle other administrative functions. May be asked to walk, stand, talk and hear others in conversation by phone or in person. Work Environment: Team members will encounter a range of work environments.
