Lead Operator

As a Lead Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating specialized equipment in the extrusion manufacturing process. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help us achieve our sustainability goals. Responsibilities: · Operate and monitor extrusion machinery to ensure efficient production. · Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards. · Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks. · Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. · Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes. · Perform quality control checks on each part every 10-15 minutes. · Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly, documenting downtime and writing down roll tags. · Responsible for raw materials (resin) by keeping the extruder fed with resin mixture. · Set up plastic extrusion machines (shut-down, start-up, switchovers, order preparation, and production). · Remove finished rolls/super sacks from the extruders and prepare them for shipment. · Assist Extrusion technicians with tasks required to keep the extrusion lines running. · Communicate with maintenance and management if there are issues with the extruders so repairs can be made in a timely manner. · Manage a team of employees to ensure all extruders are running within specifications and efficiencies are to standards. Qualifications: · Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment. · Familiarity with extrusion processes is a plus. · Solid technical/mechanical aptitude · Have experience overseeing a team of employees · Ability to follow instructions and work independently. · Strong attention to detail and quality standards. · Commitment to workplace safety and sustainability practices. · Strong communication skills Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including some weeke Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
