Job Description Position Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated Agricultural Researcher to support field-based efficacy and GLP studies in South Florida. This position involves extensive hands-on agricultural field work conducted in a hot, humid South Florida climate year-round. Work is physically demanding and requires extended periods outdoors while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) during pesticide mixing and application activities.The ideal candidate thrives in a rigorous outdoor research environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and maintains high professional and ethical standards.Minimum Educational and Professional Requirements:B.S. degree or equivalent training and experience in agriculture, plant science, or a related discipline.Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; previous agricultural field research experience is preferred but not required.Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding field tasks daily.Ability and willingness to work outdoors in hot, humid, and variable South Florida weather conditions throughout the year.Must be capable of wearing required PPE (including long sleeves, chemical-resistant gear, gloves, eye protection, and respirators as required) for extended periods during pesticide applications and related tasks.Ability and willingness to learn pesticide mixing, application, and crop spraying procedures; ability to obtain a Florida Pesticide Applicator License within one month of hire.Strong organizational skills and commitment to accurate data collection and documentation.Strong communication skills.High level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and an excellent work ethic.Reports to: Field Studies Coordinator or Contract Research Manager.Responsibilities:1. Assist with all relevant phases of efficacy or GLP studies (planting, crop maintenance, pesticide applications, evaluations, sampling, data entry, etc.) in compliance with study protocols, SOPs, and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.2. Support scheduling and coordination of study-related tasks, communicating labor, equipment, and material needs to the Contract Research Manager.3. Conduct pesticide mixing and applications in accordance with label requirements and regulatory standards while wearing appropriate PPE.4. Accurately maintain field notebooks, logs, and supporting experimental documentation in a timely manner.5. Perform precise data collection and entry, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness at all times.6. Assist with drafting protocols, preparing trial bids, and contributing to study planning.7. Generate clear, accurate reports for contract research projects.8. Participate in relevant seminars, workshops, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.9. Assist with maintaining research plots, equipment, and study materials.10.
