MEP Project Manager - Data Centers

Overview In this role you drive mission-critical MEP delivery for hyperscale data center projects from preconstruction to turnover. You lead electrical and mechanical design, construction, commissioning, and handover, while managing budget, schedule, safety and quality. You collaborate with owners, design teams, contractors and site staff to ensure reliable, on-time facilities. You’ll shape continuous improvement and risk mitigation in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with a strong client focus. ResponsibilitiesManage full lifecycle of MEP work for hyperscale data center projects (preconstruction to closeout)Provide technical leadership for electrical and mechanical systems (power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, cooling, fire suppression, BMS)Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, forecasts and KPI reporting; drive schedule adherence and cost controlLead multidisciplinary project teams including superintendents, subcontractors, designers, commissioning agents and owners representativesOversee QA, commissioning and system handover to meet mission-critical availability and redundancyManage contractor performance, review submittals, approve change orders, resolve field issues to minimize schedule riskEnsure compliance with NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, TIA-942 and local codes and corporate safety programsIdentify and mitigate project risks, prepare contingency plans and communicate critical issues to stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement, lessons learned, and best practices for hyperscale data center constructionRepresent the company in client meetings, project reviews and site walkthroughs; maintain client relationships and communication Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Construction Engineering, Construction Management or related field; advanced degree preferred10+ years of progressive MEP project management, with at least 5 years on hyperscale or large mission-critical data center projectsExperience managing electrical and mechanical systems in data centers (UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, fire suppression)Proven PM and/or superintendent experience in heavy construction or MEP contracting with direct field oversightStrong knowledge of data center codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, TIA-942) and commissioning practices (Cx)Experience with project controls tools and scheduling software (Primavera/MS Project), cost management, reporting, and BIM/Revit workflowsExcellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management for cross-functional and client-facing contextsPMP, PE or relevant certifications preferred; ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and teams in fast-paced environmentsWillingness to travel to project sites and work extended hours to meet milestonesleadershipstakeholder managementclear communicationMEP systems knowledge (power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAC/CRAH, cooling distribution, fire suppression)BIM/Revit workflowsPrimavera or MS Project
