Guests visit Draft to enjoy elevated dining, watch their favorite games, and share fun moments with friends and family. Your Role at DraftAs a Host, you are the face of Draft's venue. You will welcome guests, manage reservations, coordinate seating, and support the team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Your attentiveness, organization, and polished hospitality set the tone for every meal, helping Draft deliver elevated service that aligns with Belmont Park's standards. What You'll Be DoingGuest Engagement and ExperienceGreet guests promptly with a friendly and professional attitude Confirm party size and any special requests, including celebrations or accessibility accommodations Anticipate guest needs, such as highchairs or ocean-view seating Create a memorable departure experience by thanking guests and inviting them to return Seating and Flow ManagementCoordinate seating to support paced, coursed dining and sushi service Manage reservation-heavy periods with attention to timing, flow, and presentation Balance seating across indoor and outdoor areas to maximize guest comfort and efficiency Maintain an organized, professional waitlist and provide accurate wait-time estimates Communication and Guest SupportRespond to guest inquiries in person or by phone regarding menus, seating options, and wait times Address minor guest concerns related to seating or wait times, escalating to management when necessary Provide guidance on special events, promotions, or dining policies Team Support and Front-of-House AssistanceAssist servers and team members as needed, including greeting tables, delivering menus, and supporting table resets Maintain a clean, organized, and professional host stand and entry area at all times Safety and StandardsFollow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol-service policies to ensure guest and team member wellbeing Perform additional duties as assigned and trained to support overall restaurant operations Who You AreFriendly, outgoing, and guest-focused with a positive attitude Comfortable guiding guests, explaining options, and managing special requests Organized, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm during busy periods Safety-minded and attentive to the overall guest experience A team player who communicates clearly, supports others, and contributes to a positive work environment Reliable, responsible, and ready to create memorable first impressions Belmont Park LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and squatting required. Must be able to communicate clearly and listen attentively to guests, team members, and supervisors. Skills/Qualifications: Required if serving alcohol: RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certified. Required: Food Handler's Card, or ability to obtain prior to start date. Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in customer service (restaurant, barista, or retail experience preferred). Strong attention to detail and high standards for guest service. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments. Ability to remain composed and professional under high-volume conditions. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Positive attitude, team-oriented, and guest-focused. Expected Hours of Work: Flexible availability is required, including nights, holidays, and peak seasons. Team members must maintain open availability for at least two of the three weekend days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Testing/Work Authorization: Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Valid U.S. work authorization required. Pre-Employment Background check is required.
