Sr. PostgreSQL Database Developer

Sr. PostgreSQL Database Administrator Onsite - 3days/week in Arden Hills, MN 12 months initial contract Must have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, AWS RDS and Oracle *Overview:* * We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong skills across PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and Oracle. * Ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting both cloud-based and traditional enterprise database environments and be able to work independently on database administration, troubleshooting, performance, and reliability. * The strongest candidate would have deep PostgreSQL/RDS expertise while also being capable of supporting an existing Oracle environment. We’re looking for someone who can provide hands-on operational support but also help us improve the reliability, performance, and maintainability of the database environment over time. *Key Skills:* * Strong hands-on PostgreSQL Administration Experience. * Experience administering PostgreSQL on AWS RDS. * Strong Oracle DBA experience * Database Installation, config, upgrades, patches, and maintenance. * Performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and query/database tuning. * Backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies. * Database security, access management, and permissions. * Monitoring database health, capacity, storage, and performance. * Experience troubleshooting production database issues and performing root-case analysis. * Understanding database migration and modernization, particularly Oracle-to-PostgreSQL, is highly desirable. * Experience with AWS database services, monitoring, automation, and infrastructure is preferred. * Ability to document database environments, procedures, and operations standards. - Strong communication skills and ability to work with application, infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams. * Ability to mesh well with internal teams and speak to the business side of what we’re doing. Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour Experience: * PostgreSQL DBA: 6 years (Preferred) * Oracle DBA: 6 years (Preferred) * AWS RDS: 4 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: * Arden Hills, MN 55112 (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Arden Hills, MN 55112
