With 15 distribution centers strategically located throughout the nation, HF Foods Group aims to supply the increasing demand for Asian American restaurant cuisine.Primary FunctionsThe Accounting Assistant is responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions within the organization. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial records, processing transactions, and maintaining financial documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesOversee all outstanding supplier, customer, and third-party vendor obligationsProcess, send, and store all bank deposits and invoicesPrepare and submit tax documentation to the proper legal institutionsRemind clients to make timely paymentsIdentify and address discrepancies in all documentationUpdate all databases and spreadsheets related to accountingPerforms other related duties as assigned.Skills And QualificationsStrong understanding of bookkeeping procedures and best practicesImpeccable time-management skillsCapability to stay organized and maintain detailed recordsAbility to identify and resolve discrepanciesComprehensive knowledge of tax filing proceduresBasic arithmetic competencyEducation And/Or TrainingBachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting, or Finance preferred.2+ years of AR/AP experience preferred.Work Conditions(The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
