Overview In this role you will lead a team of engineers to build data-driven pricing capabilities for personal and commercial auto insurance. You will bridge actuarial science with data engineering in a cloud-based ecosystem, ensuring data quality and availability to support pricing decisions. ResponsibilitiesLead a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and high-quality analyses while enabling scalable data solutionsDevelop and maintain actuarial capabilities, including portfolio re-rating to assess changes and performanceBuild solutions using Python in a cloud-based environment and ensure data governance and lineageCollaborate with actuarial and data teams to support pricing through advanced analytics and automationArchitect data ingestion, governance, and availability to support the actuarial ecosystemDrive innovation and optimization of analytics, automate processes, and align with KPIsProvide training and support to stakeholders on pricing technologiesCommunicate data insights and system considerations to business technology partners Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics or related field5+ years in solution or data engineering, data analysis, or equivalent3+ years Python development with clean-code practicesSAS proficiency is a plusTest-driven development experience is a plusExperience with Amazon SageMaker is a plusKnowledge of data manipulation and ingestion techniquesExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)Experience in actuarial or research data engineering supporting advanced analyticsFamiliarity with actuarial principles, insurance data structures, regulatory requirementsStrong analytical, problem-solving and communication skillsProven track record delivering large-scale data-driven projectsleadershipcollaborationstrong communicatorPythonSASAmazon SageMaker
