Work involves maintaining the appearance of grounds and gardens and maintainingand caring for ground-keeping tools, supplies, and equipment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Maintains the appearance of grounds and gardens on assigned property.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for maintaining client location, grounds and surrounding perimeter in a clean, well-groomed manner.Responsible for maintaining tools, supplies and equipment in working order.Demonstrates excellent work habits, maintaining a good attitude.Ensure all safety rules are adhered to.Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding Goodwill Industries of El Paso, Inc. and persons receiving services.Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the building propertyResponsible for maintaining the required company uniform and ensuring a professionalappearance, and attitude at all times.Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED.Ability to understand English/SpanishAbility to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and be able to stand for long periods at a time; bend, reach and stretch repeatedly.Ability to follow verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in an outdoor environment (heat, cold, adverse weather conditions)Valid driver's license and auto insurance, able to drive to other locations when necessary.Must conduct themselves within the GIEP ethics policy.Must be able to work flexible hours.Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers and persons receiving services.Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
