This team is focused on monitoring and assessing processes that guide Blue Origin design, manufacture, and operations, ensuring system safety engineering, environmental health and safety, product integrity and continuous improvement processes serve the Blue Origin Mission and Vision.As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will share in the team's impact on all aspects of developing, testing and launching Space systems to support Blue Origin's Vision. In this role, you will establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production test and launch environments.Special MentionsRelocation providedSecond ShiftResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Approve, perform visual & dimensional inspectionsDevelop continuous improvement activitiesDevelop and conduct compliance surveillance assessmentsAnalyze and report on assembly/test activities and trendsDevelop actionable metrics to drive sustainable improvementLead Root Cause Analysis/Corrective Action Board activitiesDevelop quality metrics in accordance with company procedure CMPR-13396Facilitate solving of quality issues with diverse teams, lead causal analysis activities to drive to root cause and corrective actionMonitor and assist in the performance of receiving activitiesIndependently review, identify, document non-conformances against hardware, material, and processesParticipate test/flight data reviewsParticipate in all life cycle reviews (TRR, FRR, MRR, and PFDR)Participate in posttest/flight inspection activitiesDevelop and lead Pre-Ship Review activitiesSupport field sites with Quality Engineer activities as the need arisesRelevant experience with launch vehicles, rocket engines, aircraft and subassembliesImplement and mature process surveillance activities in accordance with company procedure CMPR-13396Qualifications:Minimum of a B.S. in engineering or 5-8 years relevant experience in the engineering field performing the duties of a Quality EngineerQuality Assurance experience in development and production environments in the areas of aerospace, space launch, military, or commercial aviationKnowledgeable on user documentation, system configuration and assemblies Familiarity performing AS9100 or ISO9001 audits within a Quality Management System Ability to support test and launch operations for nonstandard shift as requiredDesired:Quality assurance experience in rocket engine production or test environmentsRelevant experience in transitioning a product from development, through production, to operationsQuality Management System audit experienceSix Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certificationASQ CQE Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
