2nd Shift Powder Coat Paint Booth Operator
Powder Coat Paint Booth OperatorWe are looking for a skilled Powder Coat Paint Booth Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for applying powder coating to metal parts using our automated paint booth and a spray gun in a controlled booth environment. The operator ensures all parts are coated evenly and meet quality standards before moving through the curing process. Sufficiently monitor all process indicators for quality of paint.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate the powder coat spray gun and booth equipmentApply powder coating to metal parts (steel, aluminum, etc.) according to specificationsInspect parts before and after coating for cleanliness, coverage, and qualityAdjust automated spray guns and booth settings for optimal performance and efficiencyMaintain proper film thickness and color consistencyMonitor and maintain cleanliness of the paint booth and surrounding work areaPerform daily maintenance on powder coat equipment, wash systems and ovens. (including guns, hoppers, and filters)Handle powder materials safely and in accordance with safety protocolsWork with team members to meet production schedules and minimize reworkFollow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (respirator, gloves, eye protection, Safety shoes, etc.)Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent1+ year of experience in powder coating or industrial painting preferredKnowledge of powder coat materials, application techniques, and curing processAbility to read and follow job travelers, work instructions, and safety guidelinesAttention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a standing position for extended periodsComfortable working in a hot or dusty environment with proper PPEForklift or material handling experience is a plusWork Environment:Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout the shift.Ability to work in a noisy, industrial environment with varying temperatures.Use of PPE such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed boots requiredSchedule:Full-time; may require overtime or weekend work depending on production needs.
