Java Developer

Job Responsibilities:Develop and Test new web pages (servlets and jsp’s) for multiple customersDevelop and Test new web services for multiple customersMaintain existing Java code for multiple customersEnsure related documentation is complete and maintained in a timely fashionDevelop technical specifications based on Solution Summary documents provided by Business AnalystsResearch customer problems referred by technical supportBuild and Deploy Customer software to local environmentsMaintain internal Java tools for building and deploying softwareThe ideal candidate should exhibit behavioral traits that indicate:Willingness to work in a team environment and foster cross-team collaborationHelp team members grow through knowledge mentoring, sharing, and learningStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong understanding of the software development lifecycleAbility to multi-task and display flexibilityPassion for researching and finding efficient solutions to customer problemsQualifications:Object Oriented Programming experience including working with servlets and java server pages5 + years experience with writing SQL queries and working with databasesBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceWork at the corporate headquarters in Tallahassee, FL5 + years experience utilizing HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and CSSPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with the Public Safety sector (Corrections, Law Enforcement)Experience working with Subversion source control productExperience working with Eclipse IDEIf you are a talented Java Developer looking for an opportunity to work on challenging projects in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you.
