ResponsibilitiesAs a Director (Chartering) in Chartering, Organization and Structure (CO&S), you will direct the processing of complex, policy-sensitive bank applications. You will serve as an expert advisor to senior management on legal, safety, and soundness issues while managing risks within the industry. This role requires leading staff, coordinating with Supervision and Legal teams, and guiding policy to ensure mission-critical goals are met.QualificationsYou must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-VI band level.Examples of specialized experience for this position include:Leading staff or projects involving the corporate structure or licensing of financial institutions, such as evaluating new charters, mergers, acquisitions or other structural reorganizations; ANDServing as an advisor to senior management on regulatory matters related to financial institutions, such as the development or interpretation of regulatory frameworks or compliance with laws and regulations.Highly Desirable: Experience evaluating, implementing, or overseeing digital assets (e.g., blockchain or cryptocurrency), payments modernization, open banking, or banking-as-a-service initiatives within a banking or financial regulatory environment.The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service.
