Financial Accounting Analyst

We focus on identifying conservative, opportunistic returns in under-supplied South Florida markets, giving our team exposure to a diverse, growing portfolio.Role Description: The Financial Accounting Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, recording and reviewing journal entries, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. The analyst will assist with financial reporting for individual properties and the portfolio, including variance analysis, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate general ledger records, collaborating with property and asset management teams to gather financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and relevant regulations. The role will also support budgeting and forecasting activities, contribute to process improvements, and prepare ad hoc financial and analytical reports for leadership.QualificationsStrong foundation in Finance and proven Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and support decision-making.Hands-on experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and variance analysis.Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting/ERP software; experience with real estate or property management systems is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is an advantage.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Prior experience in real estate, hospitality, or a related industry is preferred but not required.
