Quality Assurance Technician

Our knowledgeable, dedicated associates work professionally with an exclusive group of vendors and customers in an environment built on commitment and trust.Position SummaryThe Quality Assurance Technician will have a bachelors dergree in constrcution management, or architectural engineering. The selected person will work out of the Noblesville, Indiana office but will be required to travel to project sites to review substrate acceptance, metal panel system work progress, testing, and document the installation of building envelope systems to prevent air leakage, water infiltration, and cladding system failures. The QA Technician will work closely with the BEC team and metal panel system installation crews to verify that materials (Exterior substrate framing, sheathing, Air/Vapor barrier systems, Roofing systems, sealants, and curtan wall systems) are in compliance with, manufacturer specifications and construction documents.Key ResponsibilitiesField Inspections & Observations: Perform routine, on-site, in-progress inspections of exterior wall cladding systems, sheathing, air barriers, and roofing system continuity to confirm compliance with approved contract details and specifications.Performance Testing: Help coordinate, witness and document wall cladding system air and water infilltration performance tests, (e.g., AAMA 501.2),Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed, quality assurance field reports with photographic documentation of both compliant and non-compliant work.Deficiency Management: Identify, document, and track installation defects and non-conformities; issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and monitor corrective actions.Material Verification: Inspect incoming materials to ensure they are properly stored and meet approved submittal requirements.QA Collaboration: Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to resolve quality issues and provide technical guidance on installation procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures. Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively.Cladding Product Shop Drawing Reviews: In house collaboration with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project design process.Cladding System Training: Monthly Training for field installation and office design teamsRequired Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 3–5+ years of experience in construction, with a strong focus on building envelope cladding, roofing, or air barrier systems.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of variuos building envelope metal wall panel systems, sealants, air barriers, and roofing systems.Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with building envelope construction ASTM and AAMA testing standards.Certifications: Preferred certifications include RRO (Registered Roof Observer) or similar, such as ABAA (Air Barrier Association of America) training.Tools: Proficient in using digital, tablet-based quality assurrance reporting tools.Physical RequirementsComfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts, scaffolding).Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Valid drivers licenese and able to perform travel repsonsiblities to project sites.
