Provides technical information to the site superintendent to ensure compliance with all drawings and specifications. Establish exterior-interior grade and working lines for contractors or crafts. Assist in the evaluation of potential dimensions and other field problems, referring them to the Project Engineer.Duties of a Surveyor:OrganizationMaintain equipment calibrationAdhere to schedule given by Superintendent and ForemanKeep all drawings and RFIs updated (office and field sets)LeadershipWork closely with Superintendent and Foreman to coordinate job layoutMust work with and train rodmenAssist subcontractors with layout drawingsCoordinate with subcontractors on layout needsAdhere to safety policies and identify violationsSkills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:Minimum of 5 years of related education or equivalent surveyor experience preferredNorth Carolina Professional Land-Surveyor Certification, requiredSome travel requiredProficient in total station and applicable softwareExperience with figuring quantities such as concrete, rock, and dirtExperience with As-Built built drawingsExperience with AutoCADExperience with Carlson SoftwareFiguring coordinatesExperience with using level/and or laser for shooting gradesBenefits:At the heart of Crowder's Mission Statement is the commitment to "make a positive difference in the lives of our employees."
