Senior Dotnet Developer
Position OverviewVDOT-AMD is seeking a Senior .NET Developer with 10+ years of experience in .NET web application development to design, develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality enterprise applications.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, Angular, jQuery, React, Node.js, CSS3, HTML5, and/or Blazor. The developer will work closely with business and technical teams to analyze complex requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.Key Responsibilities-Design, develop, and maintain web applications and backend services using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.-Develop responsive applications using JavaScript, jQuery, Angular/AngularJS, React, Node.js, CSS3, and HTML5.-Work with Blazor and modern .NET technologies as required.-Analyze complex software requirements and translate them into high-quality technical solutions.-Apply appropriate software design patterns, tiered architecture, and development best practices.-Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable application components.-Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure application quality.-Collaborate with business and systems analysts to clarify requirements and implement solutions.-Participate in all phases of the Agile SDLC, including development, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment.-Perform code analysis, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.-Create and maintain technical/system documentation when required.-Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.-Prioritize development activities and deliver solutions according to project timelines.Required Qualifications-10+ years of professional .NET web application development experience.-Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.-Experience with ASP.NET MVC and Web API.-Strong JavaScript development experience.-Experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Angular, React, or jQuery.-Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.-Experience with Blazor and/or Node.js is highly desirable.-Strong understanding of software design patterns and tiered architecture.-Experience developing unit and integration tests.-Experience working in an Agile SDLC environment.-Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Important Assignment Details🔹 Richmond, VA residents ONLY🔹 3 days onsite per week🔹 All interviews are onsite🔹 Long-term contract with potential extension up to 24 months🔹 Parking is the contractor's responsibility – contractor must purchase parking through VDOT's Parking Management Office or arrange their own parking.Interested candidates: Please share your updated resume highlighting your .NET, C#, .NET Core, JavaScript, Angular/React/jQuery, and web application development experience.
