Senior Project ManagerSeeking a Senior Project Manager with marine/ship yard experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Honolulu, HI. This position requires relocation to Hawaii - relocation assistance is provided!Salary is between $125K - $150K per year (based on experience) + benefits!The Project Manager will report to the Vice President of Programs and is responsible for the management and execution of commercial and military ship repair contracts ranging from $1M and up to $100M in value.Responsibilities:Serve as the primary focal point for customer interaction and overall management of ship repair contractsEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, managers, estimators, engineers, subcontractors, supervisors, and production teamsAct as a key communicator and leader across all project stakeholdersManage and execute government contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirementsApply estimating methods to support project planning and executionDevelop, manage, and maintain project schedules and work sequencingSupervise and provide direction to project management staffCoordinate and implement contract changes to ensure timely execution and completionNegotiate contract modifications and changes with customersInterface daily with vessel stakeholders to resolve operational and project execution issuesLeverage onboard ship experience and knowledge of marine engineering and shipboard systems/equipmentInterpret complex technical documents, including specifications, NAVSEA Standard Items, drawings, blueprints, manuals, and test proceduresApply project management principles, including risk management, performance tracking, and change managementCoordinate and schedule resources including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractorsLead daily and weekly meetings across all stakeholder levels, including production meetings, progress reviews, conferences, and formal customer updatesInterface with executive leadership and customers to ensure alignment on project status and executionQualifications:Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 10 years of ship repair or marine industry experienceMinimum 5 years of project management experienceExperience managing federal/government contractsKnowledge of shipboard tag-out procedures and Navy Work Authorization (WAF) controlsExperience or training in work sequencing and project schedulingStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project (or similar scheduling tools)Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; U.S. citizenship required for security clearance and base accessAbility to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credentialAbility to pass post-offer drug screening and background checkValid State of Hawaii REAL ID-compliant driver's license in good standing, or valid U.S. passport plus Hawaii driver's license (if REAL ID is not held)If you are interested in learning more about this role, please submit your resume for immediate consideration!
