At Drive Shack, great food, good vibes, and friendly competition come together for an unforgettable time.Job PurposeThe Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and menu components according to company recipes and standards. This role ensures stations are properly stocked and organized while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment. Prep Cooks play a key role in supporting kitchen operations and ensuring food is prepared efficiently and to quality expectations.ResponsibilitiesPrepare ingredients for service, including chopping, portioning, mixing, and measuringSet up and stock stations with necessary supplies before each shiftMaintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas throughout the shiftLabel, date, and store all food items properly for freshness and safetyFollow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelinesWork quickly and efficiently to support timely food preparationCommunicate equipment, product, or supply needs to management promptlyAssist in training new kitchen team members when requestedPerform additional duties as assigned by managementQualificationsPrevious experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred; multiple station experience a plusStrong understanding of basic cooking and preparation methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipmentAbility to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environmentExcellent teamwork, organization, and communication skillsSafe Food Handler certification preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredWorking ConditionsFast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, humidity, and wet floorsRequires standing and walking for extended periodsMust be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionallyFrequent handwashing and use of gloves requiredSchedule includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays as neededDrive Shack is committed to equal opportunity in the workplace, preventing discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct, based on legally protected diversity characteristics (such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family status, citizenship, genetic information and veteran status) in its application and hiring processes and in its employment decisions.
