Earn rewards through our PowerZone Employee Recognition Program, and expand your expertise with our Clinicians in Action professional development program.**v**Responsibilities**POSITION SUMMARY:** Our School Based Physical Therapists serve students with various physical and developmental challenges, ranging in age from 3-21 years old.**RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:**+ Implements treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to be shared with the school and/or supervisors, as mandated in the student's Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).+ Consults with other professionals (Teachers, SLP, OT, PCP, etc.) on the student's treatment team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive therapy team.+ Assesses and documents each student's progress through formal and informal tests and measurements.+ Writes and prepares annual review reports and goals for each student in accordance with their IEP dates and requirements, in order to remain in compliance with state guidelines.+ Attends all school related meetings as scheduled, such as, but not limited to, Triennials, Annual Reviews, Domains, Referrals, IEP, and pre-IEP meetings for each individual student.+ Provides screenings and evaluations to determine requirements for skilled physical therapy intervention relative to the student/client's level of function within the school environment. This includes, but is not limited to the following areas: school function, range of motion, strength, positioning, contracture management, and conducting home assessments.Qualifications**SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:**+ They must have a valid and unencumbered Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.+ They must have a qualifying degree in Physical Therapy.+ They must have a current CPR Certification.+ Valid CPR certification required.+ Clinical experience with the pediatric population preferred.**OTHER SKILLS:**+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.+ Effective leadership and customer relationship skills.+ Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems.+ Maintains professional attitudes and respect for the school and their staff.+ Treats all students with dignity, compassion, empathy and respect.+ Proven track record with high volume workloads.Posted Salary RangeUSD $52.00 - USD $60.00 /Hr.BonusUSD $3,000.00Genesis HealthCare, Inc. and all affiliated entities (collectively "Genesis") has a strong commitment to diversity that is fully supported and practiced by our officers and leadership team.
