Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Night ShiftLocation: ICE Detention Health Services Facility – LouisianaProvide essential nursing care in a secure federal facility serving individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. This role offers a collaborative clinical environment supporting ambulatory, emergency, mental health, and infirmary services.Schedule & Work HoursNight ShiftFlexible scheduling: 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shiftsOverviewThe Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) delivers direct patient care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include intake screening, medication administration, emergency response, and assisting providers with a wide range of clinical treatments.Duties / Key ResponsibilitiesPerform intake screening to identify conditions requiring referral or treatmentAdminister medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and other approved routesProvide direct patient care and monitor patient statusPerform treatments such as wound care, vital signs, electrocardiograms (EKGs), ear lavage, phlebotomy, nebulizer therapy, and tuberculosis (TB) skin testsCollect laboratory specimens, perform point-of-care testing, and assist with lab processingRespond to medical emergencies, stabilize patients, and coordinate transfer to higher levels of care when neededAssist providers by gathering subjective and objective patient dataSupport clinic operations and collaborate with medical, dental, and behavioral health teamsParticipate in involuntary or court-ordered care when requiredQualificationsCurrent, full, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in any U.S. state (Compact license preferred)Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or residential settingExperience in a correctional, detention, or residential healthcare setting preferredGraduate of an accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing programBLS certification (American Heart Association) requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate$2/hr night differential$2/hr weekend differential2 weeks Paid Time Off (PTO)7 days paid sick leave11 paid Federal holidaysWhy Join MDPerm?Work in a mission-driven federal healthcare settingLong-term, stable contract opportunitiesStreamlined onboarding and credentialing supportOpportunity to gain experience in correctional and federal medicineMDPerm is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
