COMPENSATION: $20/hour
SCHEDULE:?The Portland operation runs two shifts, one from Sunday through Thursday and the other from Tuesday through Saturday. These shifts run from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on normal workdays but may be modified according to the needs of the business.

DAY IN THE LIFE
Our typical litter collection crews are staffed with:
Crew Members who perform litter collection.
Crew Leads who operate the vehicles transporting the crews and oversee the crew(s) in the absence of the Supervisor.
On a typical day, the Crew Lead will arrive at the parking location to collect their assigned company vehicle. They will perform a pre-trip inspection of the vehicle, then meet their assigned crew at a central location. The Crew Lead will transport the Crew Members to their assigned working location. Throughout the day the Crew Lead will exit the vehicle to collect litter, load bagged litter onto the vehicle, and move Crew Members around as necessary. They will lead the crew in the absence of the Supervisor.
JOB DUTIES
Leadership
Lead the crew in the absence of the Supervisor
Assist team with litter collection, loading, and unloading as necessary to ensure performance goals are being met
Communicate clear, concise instructions to employees.
Safety
Obey all safety rules and regulations, including the wear of required Personal Protective Equipment
Ensure that all employees are working safely and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment
Place, move, and recover temporary traffic control signage throughout the workday
Immediately correct any unsafe situations when possible. Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor immediately.
Performance
Report to work at the scheduled time and work the entire assigned shift.
Meet assigned litter collection goals, while striving for continuous improvement and gains in efficiency and performance
Skills
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.?
Operate cargo vans, large trucks, and vehicles pulling a trailer.
Administrative support
Train new employees in the safe and efficient execution of their assigned duties.
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One year of leadership experience
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Reliable transportation to meet assigned location as early as 6:00am
Stand and walk up to 5 miles per day over rough, steep, and uneven terrain in all weather conditions
Lift up to 25lbs regularly throughout the day, and 50lbs occasionally
Use of grabber-type device
Sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch occasionally
Use hands and arms to operate grabber-type device, finger, handle, feel, and reach regularly
Talk and hear regularly
See items with close, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Outdoor work leadership experience
Bilingual – English and Spanish
High-school diploma or GED
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; and will frequently be exposed to moving traffic and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level for this environment will be loud. Requires collection of litter along roadways and rights-of-way for extended periods and in all types of weather.
