We are looking for a go-getter — someone who knows how to build relationships, identify opportunities, connect the dots, and turn strategy into measurable results.The Director of Business Development will report directly to the Facility Executive Director and will work closely with admissions, clinical leadership, rehabilitation, and operations to strengthen referral partnerships and support facility growth. This role is ideal for someone who wants creative freedom to develop and improve business development strategies, while also thriving in a high-accountability environment with strong expectations for results.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Business Development will lead strategic efforts to grow census, strengthen referral relationships, and improve Pasadena Grove’s market presence. This role is responsible for developing referral partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, conducting outreach, analyzing market trends, and creating strategies that enhance visibility and reputation.The Director will work closely with the Facility Executive Director, Admissions, Nursing, Rehabilitation, and other internal teams to support timely admissions, address referral barriers, and align business development efforts with facility goals. They will be expected to track referral activity, monitor performance, provide clear updates to leadership, and meet or exceed census and business development goals with urgency, ownership, and follow-through.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a confident, self-motivated, and relationship-driven professional who thrives under pressure and is motivated by results. They should be able to build meaningful referral partnerships, work independently while staying aligned with the Facility Executive Director, and use both strategy and persistence to drive growth. This role is best suited for someone creative, accountable, and proactive — someone who wants to build, improve, and lead rather than follow outdated routines.QualificationsQualified candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in business development, healthcare sales, admissions, marketing, or referral development, preferably within skilled nursing, post-acute care, rehabilitation, managed care, or senior services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of growing referrals, census, revenue, or market share, with established healthcare relationships in Pasadena, the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, or surrounding markets.Candidates should understand referral development, discharge planning, Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, and post-acute placement. Strong communication, presentation, follow-up, data analysis, organization, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to track KPIs, use CRM or pipeline tools, and travel locally for outreach.
