Our commitment to building and innovating in the AI space provides the framework intended to drive smarter decision making and enhance how we build and operate our platforms and applications.As a member of Point72’s Technology team, we encourage and support your professional development from day one—helping you advance your technical skills, contribute innovative ideas, and satisfy your own intellectual curiosity—all while delivering real business impact for our multi-billion-dollar global business.What you’ll doDesign, implement, and deliver high-impact, trader-facing full-stack applications that directly improve Macro trading workflows and execution speedLead the development of trade capture workflows, blotter interfaces, and workflow automation to simplify front-office activity and reduce operational frictionPartner with traders and portfolio managers to translate live workflow conversations into practical software designs and prioritized delivery plansDrive end-to-end delivery across frontend, backend, and data layers, owning solutions from problem framing through production rollout and validationPartner closely with Operations and Compliance to embed controls, observability, and supportability into trade flows and release plansUse AI tools as a core part of the engineering process to accelerate implementation, refactoring, test generation, debugging, and documentation while validating outputs for safety and correctnessDefine and execute validation strategies for AI-assisted changes, including automated tests, scenario coverage, instrumentation, and production-readiness checksContribute to system integration and straight-through processing improvements, onboarding of additional product capabilities, and enhancements to order and blotter workflowsParticipate in production support and incident resolution What’s Required10+ years of total professional experience in software engineering, including building production full‑stack applications, supported by a relevant technical degree or equivalent practical experience6+ years of backend development experience in C#, including designing and building production services and APIs (gRPC and/or REST); extensive experience with SQL and Java highly recommended6+ years of frontend development experience building production user interfaces with React, including interactive trader‑facing applications6+ years of experience in financial markets or trading technology, with exposure to Fixed Income, Futures, or FXProven use of AI tools across the software delivery lifecycle (implementation, testing, refactoring, debugging, documentation), with the ability to validate AI‑generated outputs through testing and targeted human reviewExperience supporting production systems used during U.S. trading hours, including production support and incident resolutionStrong verbal and written communication skills, with experience working directly with traders, portfolio managers, operations, and compliance teams to deliver production‑ready solutionsAuthorization to work in the United States, with the ability to be based in Stamford, CT or New York City and work onsite as neededCommitment to the highest ethical standardsWe take care of our peopleWe invest in our people, their careers, their health, and their well-being. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
