Production Coordinator (Assistant / Scheduler Track)
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Production Coordinator to support end-to-end production operations, including front-end PO processing, internal coordination, and production scheduling. This role acts as the central point of communication across programming, machining, quality, and materials to ensure orders are executed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.This position can be leveled as either a Production Assistant or Production Scheduler depending on experience.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the central point of contact once a purchase order (PO) is receivedLead internal coordination to kick off production, including programming, materials, and machining teamsConduct contract reviews to evaluate pricing, quality standards, and feasibilityEnsure alignment on production timelines, lead times, and delivery commitmentsInitiate purchasing activities and track materials required for productionMonitor production progress and provide updates leading up to delivery (including ~2-week pre-ship updates)Partner closely with quality teams to ensure compliance with requirementsMaintain accurate data in ERP systems (JobBOSS) and ExcelCommunicate internally to flag risks, delays, or constraintsAdditional Responsibilities (Scheduler-Level)Set production priorities across machining resourcesAssign and sequence work orders to specific machines and teamsAct as an expeditor to ensure jobs move efficiently through productionBalance workload across machines and adjust schedules as neededWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
