Company Overview:We are a reputable auto logistics company specializing in driveaway services, where we transport vehicles by driving them from point A to point B. We are currently seeking a professional and reliable Vehicle Transport Specialist to join our team. This role does not require a CDL, as we do not specialize in trailering vehicles. If you enjoy driving and ensuring the safe delivery of vehicles, this is the perfect role for you!Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle Transport: Safely drive vehicles from one location to another, utilizing either the vehicle’s own license plate or a company-provided transport plate.Flexible Routes: Transport routes are primarily within the five boroughs of NYC, but often extend to surrounding areas, including Connecticut, New Jersey, Long Island, and Eastern Pennsylvania. Other routes may be assigned from time to time.Route Completion: Transportation jobs may start in one location and end in another. Drivers are responsible for getting home on their own after completing the transport within the five boroughs. The company will arrange for your return if the transport ends in New Jersey, Connecticut, Upstate New York, or other distant locations.Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times while interacting with clients and while on the road.Smartphone App Usage: Utilize company-provided apps on your smartphone to track movement, record activities, and monitor driving metrics for performance evaluation.Daily Reporting: Submit daily reports based on the job and client needs, detailing the status of each transport, vehicle condition, and any significant events.Adherence to Schedule: Follow designated routes and timelines to ensure vehicles are delivered promptly and in excellent condition.Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting any damage or issues with the vehicle.Safety First: Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transport to ensure the vehicle’s safe and secure arrival at its destination.Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that each vehicle is kept clean and presentable during transport.Communication: Provide regular updates to the management team on transport progress and any delays or issues encountered.Required Skills & QualificationsValid driver's license and clean driving record.Professionalism: A strong commitment to professionalism and customer service, ensuring a positive experience for clients.Ability to drive and navigate various vehicle types, including cars, SUVs, and light trucks.Experience with smartphone apps used for tracking movement and activities.Strong time-management skills to ensure timely deliveries.Ability to work independently and follow directions.Availability for varied shifts, including occasional weekends.High school diploma or equivalent.Must be 21 years of or older (for insurance purposes).Additional InformationThere is no parking provided at the office, so personal vehicle storage is not available during work hours.Drivers must manage their own transportation home after completing assignments within the five boroughs, except for routes ending in New Jersey, Connecticut, Upstate New York, Long Island, or Eastern Pennsylvania, where return arrangements will be made by the company.Why Join UsCompetitive wages.Flexible work schedule with the opportunity to travel around the city and surrounding regions.Be part of a growing company with opportunities for advancement.Training provided on the use of company technology and best driving practices.Work independently while representing a professional brand.How To ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter to Frank@directlogistictransport.com with the subject line “Vehicle Transport Specialist Application – [Your Name].”We look forward to reviewing your application!
