Right Price.Job Title: Formulation Technician Location: Carlsbad, CA 92010 Duration: 12 Months Contract Pay Rate: $28-$30/hr Job Description: The Formulation Technician is responsible for the formulation of buffers and reagents using a variety of laboratory equipment to supply the CONL (labeled container) and Kitting manufacturing operations. You will also be responsible for performing in-process testing of materials using pH, conductivity, oxygen analysis, water content, etc.In this role, you will have the opportunity to: • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory formulations to support both the Mass Spectrometry and Capillary Electrophoresis product lines.• Perform CONL and kitting operations as needed to support manufacturing and production goals.• Communicate effectively with team members, team leads, and managers to identify and resolve issues, maintain lab cleanliness, ensure inventory accuracy, and verify product quality meets specifications.• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in performing all assigned formulation, CONL, kitting, and related laboratory/manufacturing tasks as directed by the manager or supervisor, including reprioritizing activities, supporting cross-functional needs, assisting in other production areas, responding to urgent production/troubleshooting demands, and contributing to process improvements to meet quality, safety, and delivery objectives in a fast-paced environment.The essential requirements of the job include: • BA/BS degree in a related scientific discipline• A minimum of 1 year experience in a biotech lab environment or equivalent.• Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes the use of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.• Able to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50lbs.• Able to stand for extended periods (1 shift).It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: • A laboratory utilizing mass spectrometry or capillary electrophoresis.• An industrial laboratory or manufacturing facility.Why Work with Us?We believe in more than just jobs—we build careers.
