Mainframe database Admin
*Role: Mainframe Database Administrator DB2,IMS*

* DB2, IMS, Datacom
* Experience in Mainframe Db2 v11 & v12 and IMS v13, v15 Database System-Administration on z/OS
* DB2, IMS internals, installation, upgrade, patchin g, configuration and operations
* Proficiency in DB2, Datacom, IMS Systems Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning
* Experience in Data Sharing setup in Parallel Sysplex environment
* Knowledge in RACF, CICS v5.5, Mainframe MQ v9
* Experience in SMPE and ISV tools installation and migration
* Create and maintain database entities, including instances, databases, table spaces and tables
* Database DR, Cloning, Backup/Recovery, HA and Point In Time Recovery (PITR) expertise
* Experience with Database ISV Tools and Products like OmegaMon and AdminTool
* Application related performance tuning; Write, modify, and debug database specific SQL queries
* DBA related utilities like Unload, Load, DSNJU003, DSNJU004, Reorg, Runstats, image copy
* REXX, CLIST, JCL, JES and Assembler knowledge
* Perform daily system monitoring tasks using SYSVIEW and Datacom utilities
* Create and maintain DQRY users.
* Create, alter and maintain area tables for access through CA-IDEAL, CA-DQRY.
*Responsibilities:*
* Manage BAU (Business As Usual) Service Delivery for Mainframe DB in a Technical Capacity
* This is for a pure Technical Hands-On role and not for a Team Lead Position
* Work on MI (Major Incidents) / P1 (Priority-1) and lesser Tickets as a part of BAU Support
* Provide Business hours support and then On-Call support as is the norm in BAU Service Delivery Role.
* Ensure Mainframe System Availability @ 99.99% and work towards meeting agreed SLAs
* Define and provide guidance for database creation, configuration, upgrade, patches and refresh requirements
* Recommend operating system and database performance monitoring, tuning and configuration changes
* Experience with database physical and logical design, query analysis and optimization
* Provide technical assistance and subject matter expertise to applications groups
* Provide database storage manage ment and capacity management recommendations
* Define and manage database security and access permissions in consultation with customer
* Ensure completion of authorized Service Requests, Changes, Problem tickets
* Manage escalations and track Service Delivery and ensure SLA compliance including with vendors
* Review and update the SOP documents on regular basis
* Support on all in-flight and upcoming project activities
* Recommend and perform customer-approved database replication procedure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $107,389.38 - $122,329.14 per year
