The cover letter should address your specific interest in the position and include your current and future (if available) class schedules.Who We AreThe Enrollment Management Student Ambassador team is a group of highly motivated, hard-working students who serve as University of Michigan-Dearborn representatives in order to assist prospective students, current students, and parents in understanding University policies and procedures related to the admissions process, financial aid process, registration, paying student bills, and applying for graduation.Responsibilities*Group and individual campus toursPrep recruitment event/visit materialsAssist at recruitment and enrollment eventsAnswer student questions in-person, on the phone, and by emailUtilize a case management system to escalate complex questionsTeach students how to submit documents via the student portalMake outbound calls to prospective and current studentsOther office responsibilities as neededRequired Qualifications*Excellent communication skillsStrong technology skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and U of M-Dearborn student self-servicePossess dependability, leadership skills, and Wolverine prideIntegrity and trustworthiness in dealing with confidential student informationReliable transportation to campusMust be a current studentMust maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPAWhy Work at Michigan?Students will work up to 20 hours per weekDevelopment of communication, presentation, and problem-solving skillsDeeper understanding of University policies and proceduresAppreciation of diversity and inclusionExperience in a variety of office environmentsFlexible schedule around classes Shift/Hours/Days: Varies every 4 months, may include nights and weekendsModes of WorkPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
