EMTs also help with transporting patients safely between hospitals and care facilities.Job requirements:Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary careProvide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipmentDocument patient information, condition, and treatmentMaintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rightsTransport patients in accordance with outlined policies and proceduresMaintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patientsOperate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and lawsProvide basic life support and gather patient data.Other duties as assignedQualificationsSkills/Knowledge:Excellent organizational and analytical skillsStrong sense of professionalism.Proficiency in relevant software and technology systems.Write simple correspondence or reportsEffectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and/or managersKnowledge of company protocols, operational procedures, and safety policiesKnowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical servicesAbility to read, write, and communicate the English language.Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writingAbility to follow written or verbal step-by-step instructionsAbility to concentrate, think, and learnAbility to hear, see, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.Qualifications/ Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredCurrent EMT certification/license in the state of practiceCurrent CPR certificationMust possess a valid driver's license in the state of practice1 year of experience in an emergency care setting preferred
